The squad is back in for pre-season on Wednesday at Bearwood and from then, they will have five-and-a-half weeks until the opening game of the new campaign. Currently, there are only 12 senior players on the club's books for 2022/23 so manager Paul Ince and head of football operations Mark Bowen will be working 24/7 to get new faces through the door. Royals have six games over the coming weeks to prepare themselves for the new season and below is a list of who they're against, when and where they are, and how fans can watch them. Colchester United - Saturday, July 2 Bearwood, behind closed doors - 1pm Reading kick off their pre-season schedule against The U's at the training ground. The League Two side finished 15th last season. The game is being played behind closed doors so coverage of it will be supplied by the club's media team.
