The PM says fans will be allowed back in stadiums from May 17, provisionally, which would allow up to 10,000 supporters or 25 per cent of capacity, whichever is the smaller, back inside grounds. As a result, Reading fans won't be able to watch any of the side's remaining Championship fixtures, with the season due to finish on Saturday, May 8 with Royals' home game with Huddersfield Town. The Championship play-off semi-final dates are yet to be confirmed, although the final is expected to take place over the weekend of May 29-31. The Prime Minister made a statement to Parliament at 3.30pm and he will host a televised press conference at 7pm, explaining his plans to ease restrictions on the country. The first priority for the government is to reopen schools, which is coming into effect from March 8. From a sporting perspective, outdoor organised sports for adults, such as football, golf and tennis, are to be permitted from March 29.
