However, it is understood he has a knee injury and will not be ready for the start of the campaign at the end of next month. Moore, 29, spent the second half of last season on loan at Stoke City after being stripped of the captaincy by Reading. A club statement said the defender had spoken with then-manager Veljko Paunovic and club directors, stating 'his clear desire to leave Reading Football Club and pursue his career elsewhere.'
