PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Reading FC face what looks like it could be a season-defining month of Championship games in October. Paul Ince's side have seven matches in 28 days scheduled with four taking place at the Select Car Leasing Stadium and three on the road. It is a busy run of games against some of the early favourites for promotion so Royals will have to be at their best to get anything out of them. READ MORE: Reading fixture list quirk spotted as Royals map out Championship season ahead While the seven matches will, of course, not ultimately decide Reading's finishing position this coming season, it is likely the overall outcome from these games will go some way to defining whether Royals will be pushing towards the right end of the table or facing another battle at the bottom come the end of the campaign. The month starts with last year's play-off finalists Huddersfield Town coming to Berkshire. The Terriers will do extremely well if they can match their feat from last season, with Royals knowing all too well what it's like to lose a play-off final. Reading will be hoping Town are still suffering the after-effects of the defeat to Nottingham Forest in May and viewing this game as an opportunity to secure at least a point. Next up, just three days later, is the second of back-to-back home games against Norwich City. The Canaries have just come down from the Premier League and are already being tipped to go straight back up to the top flight. Royals then face the short trip to QPR, who have a new manager for this season in Michael Beale following Mark Warburton's exit. A week later, Ince's side are back at the SCL Stadium to host West Brom who will, no doubt, fitness permitting, include John Swift.

The penultimate game of the month sees Bristol City come to Berkshire, while the month ends with a trip to Burnley. It will be the first time in seven years that Royals have visited Turf Moor. The Clarets' relegation from the Premier League has already seen them lose some key players so it remains to be seen how they cope back in the second tier under new manager Vincent Kompany. Overall, there are 21 points on offer for Reading in those four weeks in October. A haul of around 12-15 points would be excellent and stand them in good stead going into the rest of the campaign.
