The 27-year-old turned down a new contract offer from Royals and has instead penned a three-year deal with the Potters. The midfielder spent two years in Royals colours, winning the player-of-the-season award in his first year and the goal of the season in his second campaign. Following confirmation of his move to the bet365 Stadium on Tuesday afternoon, Laurent took to social media to thank Royals fans and the club for what they did for him over the past couple of years and admitted it was 'an extremely difficult decision' to leave Berkshire. He wrote: "On the 28 July 2020, I signed a deal at this fantastic football club. Since that time the supporters, staff and players have shown me love and respect, I would like to think I have done the same.
