PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Plans have been submitted to turn a a building in Maidenhead town centre into more than 100 new homes and revamp the empty post office. Sorbon Estates is the developer in charge of the plan, which, if permitted, would see 108 flats built. The developer has already revamped the neighbouring offices into six new homes, and is hoping to link the two buildings. If the plans are successful, it will also bring back the town's empty post office building into use as a new shop, while keeping the building's original features. The developer says the existing area contains a number of "unattractive rear service yards and car parks" which would be replaced by the new development.

The developer says: "The proposed new landmark apartment building will link the two buildings together, whilst respecting the buildings’ original facades, with striking new entrances to the accommodation from both the High Street and West Street. "The original ground floor Post Office will be made available for commercial use and the development will restore this beautiful property to its original configuration with the demolition of the two-storey 1980s office extension. The plans have been submitted to The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and can be found here.
